What Makes Us Laugh (you'll laugh too)

When a tornado hits your home in the form of toys strewn everyone, a child fills me with infectious laughter.

Faces of Tay

Our little Tay was born with a full head of hair and by four months she rocked a mohawk with strangers stopping to ask if I had put gel in my infants hair (if that ever happens, please contact the authorities).  She has proven as a wee one to be a hamtastic child knowing how to pose 'just right' for a picture.  So when we were out on a little mama-Tay date, I began taking pictures of her.

Suffice to say, she knows how to work the camera and little prodding done by yours truly.  In fact, all of the faces you see below with produced on her own accord.  She is a charmer this one--so I still pray over her, "Charm is deceitful, beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised."

***She is quite the cutie though***

What a Pregnant Lady Looks Like Doing Crossfit (at least this pregnant lady)

Weighted Lunge (25 lbs) just shy of 26 wks pregnant

Sled Push

These photos were taken by my friend and fellow Jogoer, Debbie Schwab. You'll notice in the sled push picture there is a tractor tire in the background with another fellow Jogoer hitting it with a sledge hammer...that part of the WOD was my favorite.

Meet Our Auntie Mimi (Happy Birthday)

When I began Redeeming the Table, my intention was to have this little journal to keep up with our family life.  The first area of business was introducing each member of our family of four (which I will need to update).  Our special & dear Auntie Mimi mentioned in the comments, "Make one about me!"

So it goes on her 31st birthday that Auntie Mimi gets her own personal page about her.

Amber by birth, Auntie Mimi by two little nieces.  Beautiful with chocolate brown eyes.  Loves Bob her husband, & Kali, her dog.  Laid back, fiercely devoted & loyal, with one heck of a work ethic.  ESFJ (that's what I think), like her dad.  Has some mad accounting & systematic skills like Ben.  Her youngest niece Tay shares in her love of potty humor (it's endearing) & girly things.  Very appreciative & grateful for the smallest of gifts.  Does not have a snaggletooth.  Best Auntie I could ask for for my girls.  Never forgets birthdays or special holidays for them, always sending cards with stickers.  Selflessly loves through service towards others.  Plans her birthday parties around the "monkeys," like a Positively Pink 30th Birthday.  Allergic to wheat. Enjoys coffee & food (it's no wonder we click).  Going back to school to pursue accounting, and finding more of herself through it.  She's smart! Ben says she can hold her own in tennis. Loves animals & purple. Good listener & thoughtful. Our Auntie Mimi is giving, loving, compassionate & fun to be around.  Just as she loves deeply, so she feels deeply. She is certainly a person that we want to sit at our table.  Happy Birthday Amber, Auntie Mimi--you are beautiful inside & out and can't imagine this life without you!

My Heart is Full

Our vacation at the beach, the Washington beach in Spring is still a very cold place.  Nonetheless, it was rejuvenating and we all had a wonderful time living without the conveniences of technology.  I'm reminded how I love these people.  My Tay with her "umph" of life.  V with her big heart & imagination.  Ben with his constant pouring of love on his girls.

We are also superbly blessed by having grandparents who joyfully & selflessly love us through words & actions.  And to think we get to add another little person to our table, to our life is beyond me.  I am approaching 26 weeks and right on track with growth, while this little person reminds me of their strength as each kick becomes more pronounced.

I'm more quiet on this pregnancy than with V or Tay, but maybe I'll talk more about it later.  For now, I get to cherish this little person within our current of family of four.  So, if you'll excuse me from writing about it--thank you.  If you'll excuse me from discussing the details or planning in person, know that it's different this time around.  I'm learning that this sentimental heart needs to be okay with slow attachment & bonding.
